Every year we hold our Annual Awards Evening on a Friday towards the end of March, alongside our Annual General Meeting (AGM). Held at the clubhouse, it is a great opportunity for members to catch up with fellow runners, celebrate the past year’s achievements, and collect any awards they may have won.
We encourage all award winners to attend and receive their trophies in person. With a wide range of awards presented each year, there are plenty of opportunities to be recognised. Many awards celebrate commitment, improvement and participation, not just fast race times. From awards such as Most Improved Runner to competitions like our 5K Handicap, there are opportunities for runners of all abilities to be rewarded for their efforts throughout the year.
The evening also includes a traditional fish and chip supper, and the clubhouse bar will be open throughout the event. Whether you are collecting an award, supporting clubmates, or simply enjoying a social evening with friends, it is always a fantastic night and one of the highlights of the club calendar.
