Breiddens Fell Race

As preparation for the fell relays next weekend, and because it is a really good race, four Striders travelled to the Welsh Borderlands for the Breidden Hills Fell Race. Paul Jeggo again excelled, taking in his stride the 11k and 690m of climb up Bulty Hill, Middletown Hill, Moel y Golfa and Rodney's Pillar, finishing 13th overall and taking the wine as 1st M50 in a time of 63'03". Tim Brockington was next home in 78'50", followed by John Williams in 79'02" and Janet Hill in 95'07". The latter two were 3rd and 2nd in their respective categories, though in truth well behind the category winners.

Next weekend 24 Striders will be travelling expectantly to the Fell Relays in North Wales. For anyone wishing to try fell running there will be trips to the Wrekin Wrecker (13k, 732m of climb) on 17th November and Cardington Cracker (14.5k/793m) on 1st December. Both races are in Shropshire, and there will be further details on the chatboard closer to the time.
