Brecon Fans Weekend, double first for Jeggo

Two races, Pen-y-Fan, 3,5miles with 1930ft of climb on Saturday; Fan-y-Big, 10.3miles/2200ft on Sunday. Arriving at Llynbedw (the races are in Wales) on Saturday the twin peaks of Corn Du & Pen-y-Fan were shrouded in cloud. This cleared by the start of the race, and thereafter conditions were ideal for running throughout the weekend. There were fine views from the hills for those taking a little longer over their runs. Paul Jeggo was not one of these, continuing his good form on the fells by winning the vet 50 category on both days. At Pen-y-Fan he was 32nd overall in a time of 42'42", nearly 3'faster than 2011; at Fan-y-BigĀ  19th in 89'37", an improvement of nearly 13'. Tim Brockington and Ian Brazier also enjoyed their runs on the hills. Full results can be found at www.breconfans.org
